Biography

Roland Fleming is the Kurt Koffka Professor of Experimental Psychology at the University of Giessen, Executive Director of the Center of Mind, Brain and Behavior, and Head of the Excellence Cluster “The Adaptive Mind”. He studied at the University of Oxford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), followed by postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics. His research has been recognised with several prestigious awards, including the Vision Sciences Society Young Investigator Award and two European Research Council (ERC) Grants (Consolidator and Advanced). In 2022, he was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology.
