CIE events are typically officially recognized and approved by the CIE Governing Board, ensuring the highest standards of quality and excellence. These prestigious events are then offered in cooperation with a local host.

Local Organizing Committee (LOC)

For the 31st Quadrennial Session of the CIE, we are pleased to announce the China Illuminating Engineering Society (CIES) / CIE NC China as the local host.

As the National Committee of the CIE in China, CIES is a highly active and well-established organisation, bringing together more than 5,000 members and maintaining strong connections across the lighting industry. It plays a significant role within the international CIE community, contributing expertise and leadership across a wide range of activities. CIES is actively engaged in all six CIE Divisions through its appointed delegates and is strongly represented within the CIE’s Governing Board, Division Management Teams, and Technical Committees, including as Chairs and expert members. Its continued involvement reflects a strong commitment to advancing lighting science and practice at both national and international levels.
